Originally a biologist and musician, he became a software developer and over the years stepped up into dealing with groups and humans rather than technology.

Björn Jensen studied Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences of Hamburg, Germany. He started working in IT as a Software Developer in 2000, and is founder and leader of the Java User Group Hamburg (JUGHH) and the Android User Group Hamburg, as well as a founding member of the JetBrains Academy of Development. Since his first contact with agile practice (XP) in 2001, he has introduced agile engineering practices and Scrum successfully to several companies, and today works as an agile coach and trainer worldwide.
